Article 1 – Definitions
In these Terms & Conditions, the following definitions apply:
Consumer: A private individual purchasing products for personal use, not for business purposes.
Business: Margot & Mae, offering products to consumers via an online store.
Distance Contract: Any agreement concluded online or through other remote communication methods.
Right of Withdrawal: The consumer’s right to cancel an order within a specified period after receiving the product.
Withdrawal Period: The time frame in which the consumer can exercise this right.
Continuous Contract: An agreement covering multiple deliveries or services over time (if applicable).
CESOP: The EU system used by payment providers to monitor cross-border transactions.

Article 3 – Applicability
These Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, orders, and agreements made through Margot & Mae. By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms. The terms are always available on our website before completing a purchase.
Article 4 – Offers
All offers on our website are non-binding and may be changed at any time. Prices are clearly displayed and include applicable costs where possible. Any additional costs (such as shipping or import fees) will be shown or communicated before checkout where applicable.
Article 5 – Agreement
An agreement is formed once the customer places an order and receives a confirmation email. Margot & Mae reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders in case of errors or unusual circumstances.
Article 6 – Right of Withdrawal
Customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving the product, without providing a reason.
To exercise this right:
- The return must be requested within the withdrawal period
- The item must be returned in original condition
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
Article 7 – Refunds
If a return meets the conditions, the refund will be processed within 14 days after receiving the returned item.
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, unless agreed otherwise.

For international orders:
- The customer is responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees required by their country
- Margot & Mae is not responsible for delays caused by customs
- We are not liable if a shipment is held, delayed, or rejected due to local import regulations

Article 9 – Payment & CESOP Compliance
In line with EU regulations, payment providers may register transaction data in systems such as CESOP (Central Electronic System of Payment Information). Margot & Mae complies with applicable financial and reporting regulations.
Article 10 – Product Quality & Warranty
We ensure that all products meet reasonable quality standards and match their description.
If you receive a defective item:
- Please contact us within 14 days of delivery
- Include clear details and photos of the issue
- Items must be returned in their original condition where possible
Article 11 – Delivery
Orders are typically delivered within 30 days, unless stated otherwise.
- Customers will be informed in case of delays
- Shipping is handled by third-party carriers
- Margot & Mae is not responsible for delays caused by shipping providers or customs
- The customer is considered the importer and is responsible for complying with all import regulations

We aim to respond within 3 days. If more time is needed, we will inform you accordingly.
